You can call to make an appointment to meet with a Bread for the City attorney. Please note that we cannot guarantee representation in your matter. These appointments are available only on Monday afternoons. If appointments are not available, we can give referrals to other organizations that may be able to provide free legal information, advice, or representation.
Bread for the City hosts several other clinics in our centers. Except for the use of Bread for the City’s buildings, Bread for the City is not involved in these clinics.
- The DC Bar Pro Bono Center’s Free Advice and Referral Clinic meets in both of our locations the second Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. This clinic provides advice and referrals on a wide variety of legal issues, including bankruptcy, civil rights, consumer law, employment, family law, health law, housing, personal and property damage, probate, public benefits, and tax law.
- The Employment Justice Center‘s Workers’ Rights Clinic provides legal advice on issues related to employment, including wrongful termination, workplace discrimination or harassment, and workman’s compensation. The clinic is regularly held at our Northwest Center Wednesdays night 6:00 p.m. -7:30 p.m. with sign-up beginning at 5:00. The clinic is in our Southeast Center on the last Saturday of the month from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. The Employment Justice Center can be reached at (202) 828-9675 x124.
