DEVELOPMENT & FINANCE ASSOCIATE

 

Bread for the City is a private, non-profit organization that provides vulnerable residents of Washington, DC with comprehensive services including food, clothing, medical care, legal and social services in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. Compensation includes a competitive non-profit salary depending on experience and a generous benefits package.

 

Responsibilities:

· Input gift information into fundraising software

· Reconcile gift records with accounting system

· Support Accounts Receivable manager

· Send out donor acknowledgments

· Assist with general office duties

· Other duties as assigned by Finance or Development Directors


Requirements:

· Associates degree preferred

· 1 – 2 years experience in Development or Finance office

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

· Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge a plus

· Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with a wide variety of people

· Strong time management skills, and the ability to juggle multiple projects and set priorities to meet deadlines

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Desire to work for a nonprofit serving DC’s most vulnerable residents
