Legal Services
If you are having problems with your landlord (housing code violations, a notice of eviction, etc.), have been denied public benefits (SSI, food stamps, etc.), are experiencing domestic violence or need help with other family legal problems (child custody, child support, visitation issues, etc.), we may be able to help. Bread for the City's legal clinic will no longer be able to accept external requests for legal representation.

 

How to contact the legal clinic:

  • You can reach our Northwest Center at 202-265-2400 or walk in on Mondays from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • You can reach our Southeast Center at 202-587-0527 or walk in on Mondays from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • The legal clinic is closed for walk-ins and calls on Fridays.


For legal problems related to employment, please attend the walk-in Worker's Rights Clinics.

The hours are as follows:
Northwest Center: every Wednesday, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Southeast Center: every Monday, 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.
